Appleby Golf Club, Cumbria in England

Appleby Golf Club is a moorland course with a delightful variety of holes
and outstanding views of the Lake District mountains or Pennine hills
from all parts of the course.
Not too long for the average player many holes are more challenging than
at first appear. Disaster is always a possibility in the gorge on the
4th and 5th, the river alongside the 15th and the out of bounds beside
the green at the difficult par 3, 17th.
The clubhouse, extended in 1999, has a large and comfortable lounge with
superb views. The club attracts many visitors who are made most welcome.
Many return frequently to enjoy the friendliness, scenery, birdsong and
splendid golf course.
