Ashridge Golf Club, Hertfordshire in England

Opened in 1932, Ashridge has regularly featured in the top 100 golf courses
in the UK. The course is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty
on the edge of the Chiltern Hills and is within 40 miles of central London.
Ashridge Golf Club has long been associated with warm hospitality and
the very best in golfing traditions.
Measuring 6,547 yards and with a par of 72 the course has fairly been
described as encouraging to the average golfer whilst thought provoking
to the good player. The design of individual holes and the skillful bunkering
make Ashridge a model of the best features in both traditional and modern
golf architecture. As one notable author wrote about Ashridge - "A
course such as this golfing jewel is difficult to describe in comparatively
few words, for although the pen can draw the beauty of its scene it cannot
describe its undeniable charm".
