Ballinrobe Golf Club, Co. Mayo in Ireland

Set in the mature woodlands of a historic estate at Cloonacastle, this
new championship course was laid out by Eddie Hackett. Although the original
design dates back to 1895, the latest parkland layout incorporates seven
man-made lakes with the River Robe flowing at the back of the 3rd and
5th greens. The feature hole at Ballinrobe is the 365m par 4 10th hole
- the golfer tees off beside the Medieval Tower House faced with out of
bounds on the left side of the hole. From an accurate drive a well hit
medium iron will find the centre of an island green.
Ballinrobe is full of charm and character typified by the 19th Century
period residence now used as the Clubhouse.
