Ballyclare Golf Club, Co. Antrim in Ireland

This attractive parkland course has matured beautifully over the last
few years. The tree-lined fairways, astute placing of sand traps and strategic
use of natural water hazards combine to create a stiff golfing challenge.

The signature hole at Ballyclare is probably "Orpinsmill",
the demanding par four 3rd hole. The golfer is faced with an intimidating
tee shot with out of bounds on the left and a lake on the right - this
leaves a mid iron into a green well protected by trees on one side and
the River Islekelly on the other. The same river poses more problems on
the deceptively tricky short 11th - another excellent hole.
