Bantry Bay Golf Club, Co. Cork in Ireland

Idyllically set at the head of Bantry Bay with the mountains of the Beara
Peninsula to the north and the Sheep's Head and the Mizen to the south,
Bantry Bay Golf Club is noted as one of the most spectacular and scenic
courses in Ireland.
The views from this challenging cliff-top parkland course are simply
breathtaking. Originally an Eddie Hackett 9 hole design of some repute
in Munster since 1975, it has successfully made the transition to an 18
hole Championship layout with the opening of an impressive Christy O'Connor
Jnr. designed extension in April 1997. As O'Connor Junior remarks "I
hope that the new course will be as rewarding to play as it has been to
design, but to be honest, the architect of this course was not me but
Mother Nature- I just gave her a helping hand!"
