Blundells Hill Golf Club, Merseyside in England

Completed in 1994, Blundells Hill has become one of the most popular
courses in the Northwest due to the standard of the course and the friendly
atmosphere.
Cleverly designed using the natural lie of the land, the designer has
shaped the fairways around clusters of mature trees that stood on the
site and has brought into play no fewer than eight ponds. The original
turf farm that makes up part of the course had really good grasses - this
factor, allied to the free draining sandstone base means Blundells Hill
provides ideal conditions for golf. With a premium on accuracy rather
than length the secret to scoring must surely lie on the greens, where
one's concentration needs to be at it's highest or else three putting
will be the norm.
