Brunston Castle Golf Course, Strathclyde in Scotland
Brunston Castle Golf Course is part of the Bargany Estate situated inthe heart of Ayrshire amidst the naturally sheltered valley of the Water
of Girvan. It occupies 250 acres of spectacular countryside and was opened
for play in 1992. Only four miles from the sea, eight miles from Turnberry
and sixteen miles south of Ayr, Bargany is an area of outstanding beauty.
The Burns Course is a challenging Par 72, 6700yds long. This scenic course
is a true test for golfers of all levels. It is the work of the renowned
architect Donald Steel who states "Golf courses are built to last hundreds
of years. Emphasis is on skillfully designed and constructed courses,
based on technical and academic knowledge; attention to detail and experience
of playing the game at all levels is paramount." Golf courses have to
