Located in rural Lanarkshire equi-distant from Glasgow and Edinburgh,Carnwath Golf Club combines everything a golfer could wish for; a course
in immaculate condition with superb views and unflagging interest. Unusually,
the layout begins with two par threes, back to back . However, these are
a couple of real testers at 193 yards and 230 yards respectively - an
effective warm-up routine is most definitely in order. The course is adjacent
to the west coast mainline railway, after it splits at Carstairs Junction,
and this comes into play on the outward half. A tough finish ensures that
a score is never given up lightly.
The friendly atmosphere within the recently refurbished clubhouse and
some excellent catering make a visit to Carnwath an irresistible proposition.
