Connemara Golf Club, Co. Galway in Ireland
Designed by Eddie Hackett, the par 72 is rarely achieved on this ChampionshipAtlantic Links. The back nine has been described as 'the equal of any
in the world' with the very testing par 3 13th probably the signature
hole. Ranked 21st in Ireland's 30 Greatest Golf Courses (1995), the internationally
famous links offers a wealth of scenic beauty and a tremendous challenge
to any golfer. It is no surprise that the Connemara Pro-am is now a recognised
event on the Irish PGA calendar.

Like all links courses, the weather determines whether Connemara is hard
or just impossible.
Par is 72, but most people will have to settle for just a few shots more.
The back nine is world class. The signature hole is the par 3 13th- memorable
and very testing.
Supposedly the 21st best course in the country, I think it deserves an
even higher ranking.

I have not played a golf course in such poor condition in my life. It is a shame!
