Esker Hills Golf & Country Club which opened in late 1996 is quickly
establishing itself as one of Ireland's leading golf courses. Built on
a unique and natural terrain, 'The Eskers' by Christy O'Connor Jnr., Esker
Hills provides as much variety as one could wish to see on a golf course.

Esker Hills Golf Course is based on a site of 150 acres, lying across
a series of glacial ridges, which give it many distinct advantages for
golf. Nature has moulded the landscape into a series of valleys and plateaux
which together with the existence of natural lakes and woodlands makes
it ideal golfing terrain.
It was this natural golfing land which made its mark on course designer
Christy O'Connor Jnr.- "Rarely on a first site visit have I been
so impressed, not just by the beautifully - contoured Esker Riada Hills,
but the sweeping valleys, lakes woodlands and panoramic views of the pastoral
landscape with the backdrop of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. This is destined
