Kilbirnie Place Golf Course, Strathclyde in Scotland

This pleasant parkland course some ten miles inland from the Ayrshire
coast presents players of every standard with a challenging eighteen holes
of golf. The recent addition of some fifteen bunkers and an extensive
programme of tree-planting have added both character and difficulty to
the layout. On the outward nine the 4th is perhaps the signature hole
with the green nestling in front of the Place Castle. There is out of
bounds on either side of the fairway on this short par 4 to turn birdie
into double bogey. Although Kilbirnie Place is not a long course there
are two genuine par 5's on the back nine and the golfer will need to use
a full repertoire of shots.
