Kilkea Castle Golf Club, Co. Kildare in Ireland
This course has been developed in the magnificent setting of the oldestinhabited castle in Ireland. The splendour of the 12th century Kilkea
Castle can be viewed from every fairway.
The clever design of the course is evidenced by the imaginative use of
the River Greese, providing a natural hazard at several holes. Two lakes
and strategic bunkers have also been included in the course design, adding
to this golfing challenge.
Kilkea Castle is also renowned for the immaculate condition of both its
tees and greens. The opulent clubhouse facilities make preparations to
play, and post-game relaxation an absolute pleasure.

The course was good value and has some nice challenges especially on
the last 3 holes. My one problem with the course was lack of proper signs
for next tee etc, on some of the holes. This could be a major problem if
you were a first time visitor.

Kilkea will certainly provide an enjoyable round of golf, even if it
isn't the most challenging of courses.
A nice rural setting, the designers have made good use of the river Geese.
Plenty of water around.
I'd recommend this course if you're looking for a reasonably priced
game of golf in a nice spot.
