Loch Ness Golf Club, Grampian in Scotland
Opened in June 1996 the course has quickly established itself as a firmfavourite with locals and visitors alike. The course has many interesting
and varied holes including one of the shortest holes in Scotland, the
par 3 fourteenth which is only 76 yards long with nothing but a gully
in between tee and green. In contrast the course also boasts one of the
longest holes in the Highlands, the par 5 second which is 557 yards from
the medal tees.
The course has matured rapidly and the tees, greens and fairways are
invariably in superb condition. With championship length of just under
6800 yards and the inclusion of water as a natural hazard on a number
of holes, this attractive development combines an exacting test of the
golfer's mettle with some stunning views over the Beauly Firth, Inverness
and The Great Glen. A 20 bay driving range and splendid catering facilities
provide everything the visiting golfer needs before and after a game.
