Lockerbie Golf Club, Strathclyde in Scotland

This pleasant parkland course, with splendid views of the Lake District
hills and the Annandale valley was opened in 1889 as a 9 hole course.
The layout was redesigned by James Braid in 1927 and upgraded to 18 holes
in 1986.
A pond is a feature at three of the holes, in particular the short 128
yard 8th hole, where an accurate tee shot over water is required to find
the small green. Trees form natural contours for most of the holes and
a relaxing game is assured. With its close proximity to the M74, Lockerbie
is an ideal place to stop for golfers travelling to other parts of Scotland.
