Moffat Golf Club, Strathclyde in Scotland

The picturesque holiday town of Moffat lies in the Annandale valley
within one mile of the M74 Carlisle to Glasgow motorway. Visitors can
purchase fine knitwear, sample the famous Moffat Toffee and enjoy the
horticultural splendours of a town which has been a regular winner of
the 'Britain in Bloom' awards.
The town
The town's golf club was formed in 1884 and designed by Ben Sayers of
North Berwick. This famous practitioner of the game of golf has successfully
incorporated all the natural undulations and hazards into his layout.
Deceptive approach shots combined with subtle greens ensure that scoring
is never easy. The course is often referred to as "the jewel in the South"
and it commands magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. The
excellent condition of this thoroughly agreeable eighteen and the welcoming
clubhouse reinforce the notion that Moffat should be near the top of any
golfer's list of courses to play.
