Peterhead Craigewan Links, Grampian in Scotland
Nestling in the dunes above the point where the River Ugie and the NorthSea meet is Peterhead Golf Club, one of the finest links courses to be
found in Scotland. The club, founded in 1841, is the 18th oldest in the
world. A 9 hole course was later added to the layout. The course at Peterhead
is an original links course which owes very little to man's handiwork;
it is Mother Nature assisted by man that tests the golfing ability of
every calibre of golfer from the high handicapper to the scratch man.
There is little protection from the North Sea breeze and some daunting
