Thurso Golf Club, Grampian in Scotland

Thurso Golf Club is situated on the south side of the town and offers
splendid panoramic views of T hurso, Dunnet Head and across the Pentland
Firth to the Orkney Isles.
It is the most northerly 18-hole golf course on the British mainland
and is known for its friendly atmosphere and the warm welcome given to
visitors. Recent course improvements, including extensive tree-planting
and drainage programmes have transformed the course into one that ranks
with many of the best in the north.
Probably the most challenging hole on the course is the par 5 fourth
which is usually played straight into the prevailing wind. The hole has
trees on both sides and crosses three ditches before you reach a tree-protected
green shared with the first hole.
